About The Event

We're bringing in Amy Bucciere, LCSW, CST for a three part training series on sex therapy. This three part training will inform, challenge and inspire you, the practitioner, to acknowledge sexuality in your clinical work.

Training will take place on the following dates:

Monday, March 23rd, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Monday, May 18th, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Monday, September 28th, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Client sexuality can be taboo, provocative or intimidating for the therapist.  The complex and conflicting messages we receive socioculturally don’t help any and in most clinical training, the subject isn’t even broached.  Sexuality is more than a source of trauma, a public health issue, and a political football.  This training can help start you on the path to understanding sexual wellness in a therapeutic setting.

Session one is an orientation to the mindset of sex therapy. In session two, we will address safety in the therapy room and a lens for acknowledging trauma. The third and final session will look how therapeutic skills can be applied to sexual concerns.  Each session will end with a case presentation and exploration. 6 CE credits will be available for attendance of all three sessions.
